Terms and Conditions for Cake Orders
By placing an order with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
- Order Confirmation
- All cake orders must be confirmed via email or through our online order form.
- We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order if there are issues with payment or order details.
- Payment
- Full payment is required at the time of order, unless otherwise agreed.
- Payments can be made via visa, MasterCard & afterpay.
- Cake Customization
- I currently do not offer fully custom cakes unless it's for a large event or through a contracted arrangement.If this is something you are interested in please email at hello@zisweet.co.nz. For smaller orders, I offer a range of pre-designed cakes and customisations within those designs. We cannot guarantee last-minute changes.
- Order Changes & Cancellations
- Cancellations: If you need to cancel your order, please refer to our cancellation policy for details on refund eligibility.
- Changes: Any changes to your order (including delivery time, cake design, or flavour) must be made at least 72 hours before the pickup or delivery date. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but they are not guaranteed.
- Delivery & Pickup
- Pickup: Cakes must be picked up from our commercial kitchen at 19/12 Harrison Road, Mt Wellington during our business hours (Tuesday to Saturday). Please refer to your “Ready to Pickup” email for details on where to find us.
- Delivery: We offer both local free delivery (for orders over $100, within specific Auckland postcodes) and third-party courier delivery through Urgent Couriers. Delivery fees will apply based on distance.
- For third-party deliveries, we take a photo of the cake before handover to ensure it arrives in the same condition it left our kitchen. We however are not liable for any damage which may occur when third parties deliver.
* Please provide clear and detailed delivery instructions, including the specific location (e.g., apartment number, business address, or floor level). This will help ensure your cake reaches you without any delays or confusion. If it's a large building or complex, be sure to include any access details to make the delivery process smoother or leave a phone number. If we’re unable to reach anyone at the delivery location and the cake is in a place where it’s unsafe to leave (e.g., an apartment complex), we will not be able to redeliver. In this case, you will need to pick up the cake from our kitchen after 10am.
Cake Storage and Handling
- After receiving your cake, please follow our storage and serving instructions to ensure the best taste and texture. We recommend consuming your cake within 4 days of pickup.
- Cakes should be stored in a cool, dry place and should be allowed to come to room temperature before serving for optimal flavour.
- Allergies & Dietary Requirements
- While we make every effort to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies, please note that our kitchen handles products containing gluten, dairy, nuts, soy and other allergens. We cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment.
- If you have any dietary restrictions or allergy concerns, please inform us at the time of ordering.
- Whilst we offer ‘Gluten friendly’ cakes made with alternative ingredients, please note that our kitchen is not a gluten-free facility, and we handle ingredients that contain gluten. As such, our gluten-friendly cakes are not suitable for individuals with celiac disease or those with severe gluten sensitivities. We make every effort to avoid cross-contamination, but cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free environment.
- Liability
- Once your cake is handed over to you or a third-party delivery service, we are no longer responsible for its condition. We cannot be held liable for any damage or issues that occur after the cake has been delivered or picked up.
- In the event that a mistake is made on our part (e.g., wrong cake, wrong design, etc.), we will work with you to resolve the issue as quickly as possible, including offering a replacement or refund when appropriate.
- Force Majeure
- We are not liable for any failure to meet the agreed terms if the delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to extreme weather, supplier shortages, or unforeseen events.
- Changes to Terms and Conditions
- We reserve the right to amend or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated via our website or email.
Please note that each cake is lovingly handcrafted, and colours are mixed by hand. While we strive to match your selection as closely as possible, there may be slight variations in both design and colour. Our buttercream is not pure white, and we exclusively use food colouring from ColourMill, which may result in subtle differences from the picture or chosen colours.
